1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket, signing up on theallumer.com, or attending an Allumer event, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. When you buy a ticket through Eventbrite, you will be asked to confirm your agreement by checking a box at checkout.
2. Description of Service
Allumer organizes curated in-person social events for adults, including Spark, Glow, and Flame tiers, as an alternative to dating apps. Formats and venues vary and are subject to change.
Some events use ticket types by gender and age range to keep the room balanced. Allumer may cap or release ticket types to maintain that balance, and does not guarantee a particular mix of attendees at any event.
3. Eligibility
You must be 21 or older. Some events take place at venues serving alcohol. Allumer may refuse registration or entry for any lawful reason.
You may be asked to show a valid photo ID at check-in. You agree that the information you give us, including your age and age range, is accurate.
4. Tickets and Payment
Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, a third-party service subject to its own terms. Prices are non-negotiable. Refunds are available up to 48 hours before an event. No refunds are available within 48 hours, although tickets may be transferred to a future event.
If Allumer cancels an event, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price. If the venue or date of an event changes, you may choose a refund or keep your ticket for the new date or venue.
5. Event Conduct
Phones are off during structured portions. Respectful behavior is expected, and harassment or discrimination is not tolerated. Staff may remove attendees without a refund for violations. Allumer may also refuse future registrations from anyone removed from an event or reported for unsafe behavior.
6. No Screening; Meeting People After Events
Allumer does not conduct criminal background checks and does not verify the identity, relationship status, or history of attendees beyond checking age at the door. Use your own judgment when sharing personal information or meeting anyone after an event: meet in public places and tell a friend where you are going.
You can report a safety concern about another attendee to help@theallumer.com at any time.
7. Alcohol
Alcohol at Allumer events is sold and served by the venue, not by Allumer. You are responsible for how much you drink, for your behavior, and for arranging safe transportation home. Hosts and venue staff may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who appears intoxicated.
8. Introductions
After an event, you may tell us who you would like to meet again, as a date or as a friend, using a match card or our feedback form. Allumer shares your first name and the contact details you gave us with another attendee only if you both indicate interest in each other. We do not share your details with anyone you did not mutually select.
Allumer is not responsible for communications or meetings between attendees after an introduction, or for contact details attendees exchange directly with each other.
9. Assumption of Risk and Release
In-person events carry inherent risk, including interacting with strangers, alcohol, travel, and activity-specific risks. You attend voluntarily and accept these risks. Allumer does not guarantee romantic outcomes or compatibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Allumer and its hosts, staff, and volunteers from claims arising from your attendance at an Allumer event, including claims based on ordinary negligence, but not claims caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Photography
Allumer may photograph or record events for promotional use. Attendees consent to appearing in this media unless they tell a host before or at check-in. You can also email help@theallumer.com at any time to ask us to remove an image of you. We will not tag attendees by name without their permission.
11. Intellectual Property
The Allumer name, logo, and branding are proprietary.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Allumer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is capped at the ticket price paid. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Allumer against claims, losses, and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your conduct at or in connection with an Allumer event or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
The laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts govern these Terms. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The version in effect when you buy a ticket applies to that event. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update.
16. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
