1. Who We Are
Allumer ("we," "us") operates theallumer.com and organizes in-person social events in Boston.
2. Information We Collect
When you sign up on our site: your name, email, phone number, age, gender, location, the event types you are interested in, and how you heard about us.
When you buy a ticket: your order details from Eventbrite, including the ticket type you choose (which may reflect your gender and age range) and your answers to checkout questions. Payment is handled entirely by Eventbrite, and Allumer never sees or stores card information.
At and after events: whether you checked in, your match card or feedback form selections (who you would like to meet again, as a date or as a friend), and your survey responses.
Automatically: website usage data through Google Analytics, session recordings and heatmaps through Microsoft Clarity, ad interactions through Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, product analytics through PostHog, and the campaign (UTM) details in the link you used to reach our site.
When you use the chat widget on our homepage: your name, phone number, message, and any other information you choose to include. The widget is provided by LeadConnector. LeadConnector may also collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address and interactions with the widget, through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to register you for events and communicate with you, to process ticket sales through Eventbrite, to send marketing updates when you have opted in, and to measure and improve our marketing and website, including which ads and posts lead to ticket sales.
We use gender and age range to balance the room and plan events, attendance to plan capacity, and your match card or feedback selections only to make mutual introductions. We also use information to keep events safe.
We use information you submit through the chat widget to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it.
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta, and PostHog. You can control cookies in your browser settings, although disabling them may affect how the site works.
The homepage chat widget also uses LeadConnector technologies to operate the service. LeadConnector describes its use of cookies and similar technologies in its Privacy Policy.
5. Who We Share Information With
Service providers: Eventbrite for ticketing and payment, Google for analytics, Microsoft for site analytics, Meta for advertising measurement, and PostHog for product analytics. When you buy a ticket, a record of the purchase may be sent to Google and Meta to measure which ads led to it.
LeadConnector provides our homepage chat service and processes the information you submit. Contact details are stored in CRM contact records in the LeadConnector/HighLevel platform, and messages are stored in conversation transcripts. See LeadConnector’s Privacy Policy for more information about its processing practices.
Other attendees: your first name and the contact details you gave us, only when you and another attendee both indicate interest in each other.
Venues: a guest list of first names and last initials for check-in, when the venue requires it.
Legal and safety: when required by law, or when needed to protect the safety of attendees.
We do not sell personal information. We never share your gender, age range, or match selections with advertisers.
6. Data Retention
We keep information as long as needed to run events and meet legal obligations. Match card and feedback selections are deleted within 12 months of the event. Deletion requests are handled as described in Section 8.
7. Children's Privacy
Our events and site are for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we delete it if we learn we have.
8. Your Rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing help@theallumer.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and access to attendee data is limited to the people who run events. No method is 100% secure.
